Still Making Bricks
This week, we turn to Exodus chapters 19 and 20, where the Israelites have arrived at Mount Sinai just three months after leaving Egypt. Before we ever get to the Ten Commandments, God reminds them of what has already happened: they have been brought out of slavery, carried into freedom, and called to be a people set apart for something new. In our conversation, we explore what that freedom means, and why leaving Egypt might be a lot easier than learning how to live once Egypt is behind you.
